I have extensive public speaking experience, from speaking in front of small community groups like Toastmasters and the lions Club to crowds of over 500 people at Allphones Arena for the NDIS. Having my first public speaking gig at 13, I now have over 30 years experience in this area.

My motivational speaking revolves around mental health for people with Down syndrome, living with disability, human rights, and environmentalism. I have given numerous talks to community groups in person and through webinars.

I am a regular guest on panels at events, my most recent appearance was speaking at a Gala Event for the Suicide Prevention Network.

I am a highly skilled and well-practiced disability advocate. I have advocated with Aruma, Ambassadors & Champions, Down Syndrome Australia, Every Australian Counts, and played a significant role in advocating to close down the Stockton Centre - an institution for segregating those with disability. I have created my own series about Supported Decision Making with the help of the Council for Intellectual Disability which is available here on my website under the resources tab.

I was on the NSW Disability Council between 2016-2018 and consulted on the NDIS, employment, and housing. I have has also consulted for The Wilderness Society, the NSW Ombudsman, and Down Syndrome Australia.

I have been on a range of different boards and provided advisory committees input. Notably, I was on the Community Disability Alliance Hunter (CDAH) Board from 2013-2015 and again in 2021; and was in an advisory role for the Council for Intellectual Disability.

I am a natural in front of the camera or behind the podcast mic. I have featured in a range of productions, including the ABC’s ‘You Can’t Ask That’ and Bill Armstrong’s ‘Talking Inclusion’ podcast.
